Traditionally, building large models of systems has been via a statistical model, which attempts to find analytical solutions to problems and thereby
enable the prediction of the behavior of the system from a set of parameters
and initial conditions. And nowadays,
modeling physics has been shown to correct weakness of traditional intruction
by engaging student in the design of physical models to describe, explain, and
or to predicted a phenomenom of physics. Although the modeling methode can be
used without computers, but the use of computer allows students to study any
problem that are difficult and time consuming, to visualized their result, and
to communicate their result with other. This combination of computer modeling
with theory and experiment can achieve insight and understanding that cannot be
achieved with only one approach. This paper describe the Easy Jawa Simulation
(EJS) modeling and authoring tool and show it can be used to teach mechanics
concepts with computer modelling
